🌲Meet our plant of the week: the 𝘾𝙪𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙖 𝙉𝙤𝙧𝙬𝙖𝙮 𝙎𝙥𝙧𝙪𝙘𝙚! This is a perfect accent tree with a strong vertical effect. It has beautiful dense branching that goes all the way to the ground. It also can withstand heavy snow loads and can tolerate heat and humidity better than other evergreens. We have these available in both a 15 and 25 gallon size. Come check them out and tag your own!

🥶You may have heard talk about “exploding trees” as frigid temperatures move in — but here’s the real science behind those dramatic sounds: ⚠️When temperatures plunge rapidly well below freezing, the water and sap inside a tree’s trunk and branches can freeze and expand. That sudden expansion, combined with the outer bark cooling and contracting faster than the inner wood, can build up internal pressure. When the stress gets too great, the bark or wood can crack or split suddenly, sometimes with a loud “bang” that sounds like an explosion. 🌳💥This is most common during rapid temperature drops, subzero air settling in, and calm-bitterly cold nights. 🌳💥This can cause harm to both healthy and weakened trees. 🌳💥This can create dangerous conditions - avoid parking under large trees and be alert when walking outside. ❄️Stay warm and stay safe!
